In order to effectively implement the “Notice on Organizing the 2023 ‘National Defense Education Month’ Activities” issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China’s Propaganda Department, among others, and fully embrace Xi Jinping’s vision for a strong military, members of the Communist Party of China Huatong Automobile (Investment) Group Branch Committee, alongside a group of active party members, visited and studied at the “Former Site of Beidaying” Exhibition Hall on the occasion of National Defense Education Day. This visit aimed to guide party members and active participants to better preserve historical memory, commemorate the sacrifices of our heroes, and cherish the importance of peace.

On September 18, 1931, the Japanese army detonated explosives on the Liutiaohu section of the South Manchuria Railway, falsely accusing the Chinese military of the act. They used this as a pretext to bombard the headquarters of the Northeast Army, known as Beidaying. Some patriotic officers and soldiers stationed at Beidaying rose up in resistance and launched the first shot of the Chinese people's Anti-Japanese War.

The former site of Beidaying in Shenyang is a microcosm and witness of modern history in Shenyang. The exhibition hall was built based on the original site, and it houses historical displays and restored exhibits. Through more than 400 historical photographs, over 200 historical artifacts, as well as electronic maps, panoramic sand tables, thematic sculptures, and paintings, among other modern means, the exhibition showcases the profound history of Beidaying. Visitors can listen to detailed explanations by guides, revisit history, and receive a deep immersion in historical culture.

After the visit, everyone proceeded to the campsite, where they stopped and gazed, offering flowers as a sign of respect. Together, they paid tribute to the martyrs and remembered their heroic achievements, expressing deep reverence and profound admiration for the revolutionary martyrs. As the backbone of development in the new era, it is imperative to inherit the will of the martyrs and promote their spirit. With a more determined spirit and a resolute attitude, we will shoulder the new historical mission and strive to write a new chapter that is worthy of the martyrs, worthy of the times, and worthy of the Communist Party of China.
