On July 1, 2023, the handover ceremony of the Huatong Automotive Supply Chain Intelligent Terminal Production and Assembly Center (Shenyang RDC) project, involving Brilliance BMW Automotive Ltd., Huatong Automotive Logistics Ltd., and Huatong FLD Supply Chain Management (Shanghai) Ltd., was successfully concluded. This signifies the official completion of the construction of the Huatong Logistics project in Shenyang RDC. In the future operation, this project will provide more efficient services and greater value for Brilliance BMW’s after-sales spare parts in Shenyang.
Shenyang RDC is another remarkable achievement of Huatong Logistics following the Brilliance BMW Ningbo RDC. It is primarily responsible for providing storage services for Brilliance BMW spare parts at the Shenyang Parts Distribution Center. The distribution capability will cover the three eastern provinces and eastern Inner Mongolia. The first phase of the project covers an area of approximately 57,000 square meters. The warehouse roof is designed with photovoltaic power generation and adopts related water resource management methods such as ‘sponge cities,’ aiming to establish an environmentally friendly green logistics warehouse. The main services include receiving, unpacking, shelving, picking and assembly, packaging, inventory, and other related tasks for Brilliance BMW after-sales spare parts.
The handover ceremony took place inside the Shenyang RDC warehouse, with representatives from Brilliance BMW, Huatong Logistics, and Huatong FLD participating in the event. After the ceremony, on behalf of Brilliance BMW, the business representative expressed gratitude to the Huatong Logistics team for their hard work during the project construction period and also expressed expectations for future work to the operations team.
With the smooth progress of the handover ceremony, Shenyang RDC also welcomed its first vehicle delivery. After the vehicle arrived at the factory entrance, representatives from the three parties took photos with the relevant personnel and the vehicle. Subsequently, the vehicle slowly entered the plant area and stopped at the designated gate, where the Shenyang RDC operations team began the receiving process. The first batch of deliveries undoubtedly injected new vitality into the Shenyang RDC warehouse. It not only enriched the inventory of spare parts in the warehouse but, more importantly, represented the well-established spare parts supply chain with stable and reliable supply capabilities, providing timely service assurance for customers.
